I am delighted to see that both Peter Baker and Peter Giuliano gave this post a thumb's up/heart since they each contributed to this piece with their earlier feedback and encouragement.
Peter G. recommended Dr. Ritchie's book to me and also suggested that I check out OWID. Mr. Giuliano always strives, it seems to me, to find the right level and pitch necessary in regard to communicating the challenges before us so as to motivate rather than discourage.
Peter B. referred me to Counterpunch, which has become part of my regular reading and he has also (whether he knows it or not) cautioned me to read all Climate news with circumspection. I am grateful to have Peter B.'s counsel as I've attempted to move forward with A Climate For Coffee. (All in addition to contributing the prescient quote below, a tad eerie reading it now, 49 years later.)
Neither Peter B. or Peter G should be considered responsible for any errors or lapses here at a Climate For Coffee, but if this Substack constitutes a meaningful contribution to the conversation, I happily share any credit due with both gentlemen.

We have got to make it here"
